The patented EconAir bi-directional flue system isolates the fire from the home's internal air supply. Combustion air is drawn down the outer section of the flue and pre-heated by exhaust gases to over 300°C before entering the firebox. This results in hotter combustion, improved efficiency, lower emissions, and significantly reduced firewood consumption.
Because the fire is isolated from the home's air network, there are no cold draughts and the Genesis performs exceptionally well in modern airtight homes.
The Genesis incorporates Ethos' unique multi-chamber firebox design featuring one primary front burn zone and three independent rear burn chambers. Force-fed combustion air enters at temperatures exceeding 300°C, ensuring more complete combustion of solids, volatiles, smoke, and gases.
The result is greater heat output from a compact firebox, cleaner burning performance, lower emissions, reduced ash buildup, lower fuel consumption, and lower ongoing running costs.
