Shipping


Many of our products include free shipping within Aotearoa New Zealand. To check if shipping is free for a specific item, just click the Shipping tab on that product’s page.

We like to keep things simple and transparent—no sneaky fees or confusing fine print.

While we deliver nationwide across Aotearoa New Zealand, some remote or hard-to-access locations may require additional freight charges, custom delivery arrangements, or depot collection. This can occasionally apply to rural and off-grid areas where standard courier services are limited.

If this applies to your order, we’ll always contact you first to confirm the best available option before dispatch.


Order Confirmation

Once you place your order, you’ll receive an order confirmation email. This means we’ve received your order and your payment has been pre-authorised.

Next, we’ll check to make sure your item is in stock and ready to ship. If the item is back-ordered or unavailable, we’ll void the pre-authorisation and contact you via email to offer alternative options.

If everything is in stock and ready to go, we’ll finalise the payment and begin preparing your order for shipment—usually within 3 business days.


Order Shipment

As soon as your order ships, we’ll send you a shipping confirmation email with tracking info within 24 hours.

If you haven’t received confirmation within 4 business days, feel free to contact us at sales@theoffgridstore.nz and we’ll sort it out.


International Orders

We’re happy to ship our products internationally. However, please note that our products are designed for the New Zealand market and operate on a 240V electrical system.

They may not comply with international electrical safety standards, so it's important to check compatibility before ordering.

Due to the wide variety of product sizes and weights, international shipping rates vary. Contact us for a custom shipping quote. If you're happy with the quote, we’ll process your order securely through our online payment gateway.


Damaged Items

Please inspect your order on arrival. If the packaging appears damaged, note this when signing for delivery—or refuse the delivery if you're concerned.

If you do accept delivery and find damage, take clear photos of the packaging and product as soon as possible. Then email the photos to sales@theoffgridstore.nz and head over to our Returns page to lodge a return claim.
